Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Army Reserve website — U.S. Army Reserve units are here to partner with the Canadian Army for Maple Resolve 19-01. Maple Resolve is a multinational joint training exercise, with over seven countries and more than 6,000 troops, that is hosted by the Canadian Army. The cooks’ mission is to provide meals for the troops involved in the exercise to ensure they are nourished and ready for the task at hand.

Training With Industry through DLA Troop Support: Seizing opportunity

Ursula Stewart, a contracting officer for the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Industrial Hardware supply chain, has always looked for personal and professional development opportunities. So when she had the chance to apply for the Training With Industry program, Stewart contemplated throwing her hat in the proverbial ring. When she though of applying, she didn’t realize was how challenging and enlightening the process would be in deciding if TWI was right for her. But now, as she is getting ready to depart for Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle, Washington in June, she couldn’t be more excited.

DLA commanders meet to discuss Agency’s procurement challenges, solutions

DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John Palmer and his senior staff hosted DLA Distribution Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kevin Jones May 3 in Columbus, Ohio, for an orientation visit to discuss business operations. Their meeting was part of an Agency-wide initiative to generate increased conversation between supply chains on shared logistics, operating challenges and successes.

Every year the U. S. Army Quartermaster Corps recognizes brigade-sized units for outstanding quartermaster services provided. The Distinguished Unit of the Corps award was introduced in 1993 to recognize outstanding units, past and present, who have made significant contributions to the Quartermaster Corps. Bolt inspection tool wins Team Mildenhall innovation award

Steven Iziguerra, 100th Maintenance Squadron NCO-in-charge of the Non-Destructive Inspections Section, won the Team Mildenhall Innovation of the Quarter Award for the first quarter of 2019. As part of the NDI team, Iziguerra and his Airmen inspect aircraft parts to ensure they are anatomically sound, free of cracks and defects.
