Small Business team recognized at commander’s town hall

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Office of Small Business Programs was recognized March 18 during a town hall at the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Operations Center Auditorium. The office received DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams’ Strategic Goals Award for their efforts in helping the Agency to exceed its small business goals for Fiscal Year 2018.

PHILADELPHIA — As a field activity of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support headquartered in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Indo-Pacific works directly with customers and industry partners to support the military during day-to-day operations, humanitarian assistance and contingency missions. Susquehanna’s Roads and Grounds team works to keep employees safe during winter weather

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Living in Central Pennsylvania, especially during the winter with unpredictable weather patterns, the daily commute can be difficult. Luckily, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna in New Cumberland has a reliable team in place for when winter weather events threaten work stoppages.

Stranded hospital staff and family members are loaded into a former military truck to be transported home, away from flood waters in Fremont, Nebraska. After the emergency is over the truck will be converted for use in firefighting and then issued to a volunteer fire department.

Excess equipment provides aid in Nebraska floods

Fremont, Nebraska — As the flood waters rose in Nebraska, equipment provided by DLA Disposition Services was used to rescue people from the flood waters.

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support Construction and Equipment supply chain employees conduct spring clean-up event in Building 3 March 20, 2019 in Philadelphia. The leaders implemented a supply chain wide housekeeping event to demonstrate the directorate’s commitment to the VPP program, an OSHA led initiative that promotes good housekeeping in the office environment as a major part of its mishap, pest management and fire prevention efforts.
