Lab technicians flawlessly fuel 35th Fighter Wing

One small piece of the process, but arguably the most critical, is the 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels laboratory personnel.

48th LRS Airmen recognized for inventory system

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Royal Air Force Lakenheath website — The 48th Logistic Readiness Squadron’s new digital inventorying system highlighted the 48th Fighter Wing’s “Wing Strength” during the 2016 Unit Effectiveness Inspection.

Wynueco Washington, a DLA Land and Maritime associate, surprised Lewis with a special performance of “Georgia on my Mind,” a tribute to Lewis’ hometown, during a March 31 retirement ceremony.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Milton Lewis, DLA Land and Maritime’s Acquisition Executive for the past nine years, retired Mar. 31 after completing more than 38 years of dedicated and decorated service to the Department of Defense.

New medical supplies contract will save warfighter, taxpayer millions

PHILADELPHIA — Stretching a dollar just got easier for U.S. military medical personnel across the globe. Acquisition professionals at DLA Troop Support are implementing a new medical and surgical prime vendor program, which is projected to save $168 million over 10 years.

Part of AFRL's Forward Operating Base of the Future demonstration is one complete expeditionary microgrid system at Basic Expeditionary Airmen Skills Training (BEAST), Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. Monocrystalline silicon solar panels are placed on top of each tent for energy production. A trailer (center) holds the hardware, software and lithium ion batteries that form the smart grid and provide energy backup should the grid fail. DLA graduates newest employees from two-year training program

RIchmond, Va. — Surrounded by family, friends and co-workers, 29 DLA Aviation and DLA Finance Pathways to Career Excellence (PaCE) Program graduates joined the ranks of the DLA workforce March 30 in a ceremony held in the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.
