Troop Support Pacific provides mobile galley to Pearl Harbor sailors

PHILADELPHIA — A Navy submarine crew was one of the first to enjoy fresh meals served from a new mobile galley at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam that was purchased through DLA Troop Support.

Eisenhower students meet with DLA Distribution leaders, program alumni

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Students from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy in Washington, D.C, visited DLA Distribution Oct. 27 where they met with former graduates now serving as DLA Distribution leaders, including commanding general Army Brig. Gen. John S. Laskodi.

Army Lt. Col. Debra Hernandez, the first nutritionist in the Subsistence supply chain, works in her DLA Troop Support office in Philadelphia. Hernandez, a registered dietitian, uses her more than 25 years of experience to analyze products’ ingredients and ensure they are meeting customer’s nutritional needs.

Food advisor adds nutritional value to Subsistence

PHILADELPHIA — Subsistence’s first nutritionist has helped DLA Troop Support offer healthier food items to military customers since arriving two years ago. Army Lt. Col. Debra Hernandez is a registered dietitian with more than 25 years of experience.

The latest in this video series features Joe Lehman, a criminal investigator in DLA’s Office of the Inspector General, who was severely injured in a 2014 motorcycle crash. Ten months later, he was back at work, much to the amazement of his coworkers.

Staffers in Qatar have been working hard to lay boneyard residents to rest

Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar — Operation “Big Wheel” has been adding big numbers to scrap operations in Qatar with the arrival of 55 vehicles from the installation “boneyard” were scrapped onsite along with three truckloads of washers, dryers, bed frames and other miscellaneous scrap from Al Udeid Air Base.

Okinawa Marine devises way to immediately treat battlefield injuries

MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS PACIFIC — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps website — Cpl. Matthew A. Long, a motor transport mechanic, won in a Marine Corps wide logistical innovation competition. Long designed a tear proof package to sit behind a Small Arms Protective Insert, to be filled with a clotting agent as well as a pain-killing agent.
