C&E employee receives award during Navy EOD customer visit

DLA director talks Better Buying Power with medical industry partners

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Department’s Better Buying Power 3.0 initiative applies to every DLA supply chain and the vendors they work with, the Defense Logistics Agency’s director told medical industry and military service partners May 12 in Philadelphia.

DLA Troop Support delivers during its first wildland fire season

PHILADAELPHIA — On the eve of the 2014 wildland fire season, warehouse shelves at the Northern California Interagency Support Cache were packed with goggles, hand tools and hoses. More than $7 million worth of materials were stocked as a buffer as DLA took over management of those items one month before the season started.

DLA Troop Support Pacific supported Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan with a new rubber track, repairs on their bleachers and updated bathroom fixtures. Kubasaki is a Department of Defense Education Activity school for department civilians located on a Marine camp.

When the Kubasaki High School track team runs this spring, it will be on a new rubber track procured through Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Pacific.
