DLA service members share holiday spirit with local veterans

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nearly a dozen service members from Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Columbus) took a break from their usual duties on Nov. 21 to take on a different mission – serving meals at a Veterans Affairs Thanksgiving Luncheon held at the American Legion Post 144 on the south side of the city.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A spirited celebration of warrior legacy resonated throughout the Defense Supply Center Columbus Operations Center Auditorium Nov. 19, as the installation’s workforce gathered for a birthday ceremony commemorating 250 years of America’s ‘first to fight, ready to win’ force – the United States Marine Corps.

Columbus employees earn top marks in DLA’s 58th Annual Employee Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ten Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Columbus) employees and four teams have been named as top performers in DLA’s 58th Annual Employee Recognition Awards Program.

Supervisors updated on DLA Weapons Support’s progress towards FOC

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A major transformative milestone was met Oct. 27 when Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support hosted a joint supervisors’ call across two locations. The event, hosted at the DLA Weapons Support (Columbus) Operations Center Auditorium on Defense Supply Center Columbus and livestreamed at the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, signaled greater collaboration and shared purpose as the organization moves forward.

DLA establishes new subordinate command for weapon systems support

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — The Defense Logistics Agency today announced the stand up of a new major subordinate command dedicated to supplying spare and repair parts to the military services. DLA Weapons Support integrates the missions of DLA Aviation and DLA Land and Maritime into a single unified command responsible for weapon systems support to the joint force.
