Senator Bob Dole, 98, passed away December 5 in his sleep. He served in the U.S. Senate for a quarter of a century, ran for the office of President of the United States, served in the Army in World War II and lived for a short time in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Federal Center employees deliver Christmas at Salvation Army

At the end of each year Defense Logistics Agency employees at the Hart Dole Inouye Federal Center in Battle Creek, Michigan, work together to make the holidays a little brighter for families in need. Working with the local Salvation Army, DLA Installation Support’s Battle Creek Morale, Welfare and Recreation staff coordinate the Federal Center’s Adopt-A-Family Program. The program includes veterans that are patents at the local Veteran Affairs hospital and other families in the community.
