DLA Distribution welcomes three new reserve commanders

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — As part of its Reserve Commander’s Workshop November 3-5 at DLA Distribution headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, DLA Distribution’s Expeditionary Logistics Joint Reserve Team welcomed three new commanders to the helm of reserve teams located in San Joaquin, California, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Norfolk, Virginia.

Charles Crumb has been selected as the new director of DLA Distribution Jacksonville, Florida.

DLA Distribution honors POW/MIA with Missing Man Table

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — In honor of America’s Missing in Action and Prisoners of War, DLA Distribution hosted a Missing Man Table and Honors Ceremony. The ceremony, held Sept. 28 at DLA Distribution Headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, served to remind attendees that those missing are still present in spirit.

DLA Distribution headquarters hosts Korean Navy

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Members of the Republic of Korea Navy visited DLA Distribution headquarters and its largest distribution center, DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 1 to discuss DLA’s global logistics processes.

Susquehanna Installations Operations hosts force protection lecture series

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania hosted a force protection lecture series which highlighted photos of the 2011 flooding in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the efforts of the Derry Township Police Department on Oct. 27. The guest speaker was Patrick M. O’Rourke, Sr., former Derry Township police chief and current security manager with the Global Security team at the Hershey Company.

Peruvian major general visits Distribution headquarters

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Peruvian Army Maj. Gen. Jaime Fernando Malpica Lozada, G-4 director of logistics, and members of his team visited DLA Distribution headquarters Oct. 26 for an overview of DLA Distribution, and a tour of DLA Distribution Susquehanna’s Eastern Distribution Center, the largest storage facility in the Department of Defense.
