Portable electronic devices not allowed in areas approved for classified material

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Portable electronic devices can pose a security threat by allowing sensitive or classified information to be compromised. DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams recently signed a policy restricting use of PEDs in agency-owned or controlled spaces approved for classified information storage and processing.

Team DLA named Fort Belvoir Commander’s Cup champion for 2nd year

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Nearly 100 Defense Logistics Agency employees came together this year to repeat their 2018 victory by winning the Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Commander’s Cup.

DLA preparing to assume warehousing for some F-35 spare parts

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency is partnering with U.S. Transportation Command and the F-35 Joint Program Office to establish processes aimed at expanding support to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter.

Peoria, Illinois — Defense Logistics Agency acquisition professionals like Lynn Thompson are engaging with and learning from industry partners through the Defense Department’s Training with Industry Program.

Land and Maritime associate named to Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Veterans Services announced the 2019 Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame class in a statement Sept. 26. Army Col. John Dreska is among 20 inductees who will be inducted in November for their post-military service and accomplishments. In addition to his military service, Dreska works for the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime as the division chief for batteries, tires and engines.
