R&D program manager receives innovation award

Senthil Arul, who leads the Defense Logistics Information Research Program in R&D, was named one of AAGEN’s Innovative Leaders in Defense at its 2019 Leadership Workshop June 6 in Crystal City, Virginia. Safety officials share tips to avoid work-related mishaps

DLA employees experienced 694 mishaps in 2018 resulting in employees being away from work 1,321 days and having 5,241 days of restricted duty. Injuries affected employees’ personal lives and their co-workers, and hindered DLA’s ability to accomplish its mission.

Audit Task Force Roadshow arrives at DLA Land and Maritime

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime associates gathered in the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Operations Center Auditorium June 10 for the DLA Audit Task Force Road Show Town Hall meeting titled “Building Connections.” The agency’s audit-readiness efforts began six years ago, when senior leaders first challenged associates to adopt new procedures and controls to ensure the accuracy of DLA’s financial statements.
