Marine Corps logistics command visits DLA Distribution, discusses contested logistics

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow, commanding general, Marine Corps Logistics Command, and staff visited Defense Logistics Agency Distribution July 31 for a briefing on the current state of operations and discussion on how DLA Distribution can support the mission of the Marine Corps in a contested logistics environment.

In a modern world where technological growth is not exclusive to the U.S. and often times leveraged in pervasive ways, logistical operations are also on the adversarial list of areas to disrupt, destroy or defeat.

USAF, RAAF demonstrate interoperability in austere location

NORTHERN TERRITORY, Australia — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Pacific Air Force website — U.S. Air Force F-22A Raptors assigned to the 27th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron conducted hot pit refuels alongside Royal Australian Air Force F-35A Lightning IIs assigned to the 75th Squadron at RAAF Base Curtin, Australia.

Navy Demonstrates ‘Game-Changing’ System to Rearm Warships at Sea

PORT HUENEME, Calif. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) website — Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) successfully conducted the first land-based demonstration of the Transferrable Rearming Mechanism (TRAM). U.S. Navy surface combatants will now be able to reload missile canisters into their MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) while at sea and in an unheard-of pace with revolutionary strategic potential.

700th BSB Soldiers train to operate, defend logistics hub

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — Oklahoma Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 700th Brigade Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, took part in a field exercise at Glenwood Training Area July 13-14, 2024. The 700th BSB manages and supplies all maneuver battalions and their forward support companies assigned to the 45th IBCT’s with all of their commodities, including food, water, fuel, ammunition, parts, and maintenance to help them get to and accomplish each mission.

Former DLA directors help chart agency’s course ahead

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Former directors shared their insights on the upcoming DLA Strategic Plan during a two-hour roundtable discussion July 18 at DLA Headquarters. The new five-year plan is expected to be released in late August or early September.
