FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Former DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch, who was best known for reaffirming the agency’s commitment to the nuclear enterprise, is among nine new inductees into the 2020 DLA Hall of Fame.

Agency’s 8th director to be inducted into 2020 DLA Hall of Fame 

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Former Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Donald Babers, who led the agency through rapid growth in material management and contract administration from 1984 to 1986, is among nine inductees into the 2020 DLA Hall of Fame.

Former IT system integrated logistics functions, improved DLA's project management

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — DLA launched the Standard Automated Materiel Management System in 1971 to integrate common logistics functions across multiple supply chains. Though it was replaced in the 2000s, SAMMS increased effectiveness and forced DLA to improve its project management.
