DoD Continues Caribbean, Florida Hurricane Response Operations

WASHINGTON — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Department of Defense website — The Defense Department continues its response to destruction throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands and other Caribbean locales, while posturing forces to support the response to Hurricane Irma in Florida, a DoD spokesman said.

Maintenance miracle workers

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Mountain Home Air Force Base website — The Air Force Repair Enhancement Program here performs miracles all the time. Recently, the four-person shop repaired a $20,000 power supply headed for the trash by replacing a $5 resistor, the equivalent of fixing a $300 phone with an eight-cent paper clip.

The 92nd and 141st Maintenance Squadrons and the 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and work on the last Periodic Inspection of the year Dec. 9, 2015, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash.
