Airmen with the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron participated in Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery training at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar from Feb. 10-12, 2020. The RADR training, conducted by a mobile team from the 435th Construction and Training Squadron at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, covers the steps necessary to rapidly repair runways and runway support structures to recover and resume operations on an airfield after an attack.

437th Maintenance Squadron, Fabrication Flight

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Joint Base Charleston website — Joint Base Charleston C-17 Globemaster IIIs perform several missions throughout the world to include combat and presidential support, training and humanitarian missions. As time goes on, aircraft need to be inspected and repaired for structural integrity, internal cracks, painting and exterior damage. The 437th Maintenance Squadron, Fabrication Flight is responsible for fixing and identifying such issues to ensure mission readiness.

The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and has excelled in this role for more than 60 years. This unique asset enhances the Air Force's capability to accomplish its primary mission of global reach. It also provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft. The KC-135 is also capable of transporting litter and ambulatory patients using patient support pallets during aeromedical evacuations. AMC C-130 rainbow fitting inspections complete

S.C. Air maintainers overcome harsh conditions in Sweden

KALLAX AIR BASE, SWEDEN — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — After years of perfecting how to operate in overseas desert environments, the Swamp Foxes from the South Carolina Air National Guard flipped the script by deploying to northern Sweden for Arctic Challenge Exercise 19. Unpredictable weather, the remote location and unexpected major maintenance difficulties provided Swamp Fox maintainers plenty of problems to work through during their three-week TDY in support of the Nordic exercise.
