DLA small-business office helps train businesses on government contracting

The Defense Logistics Agency’s Office of Small Business Programs co-hosted with George Mason University an annual Training, Outreach and Networking Event for U.S. businesses in Arlington, Virginia, May 18.

Conference highlights warfighter support, opportunities for small businesses

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Small businesses play a large role in supporting the warfighter, and that impact was on display Aug. 30 – Sep. 1 at a Defense Logistics Agency conference in Columbus, Ohio.

DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton presents Evan Eisenberg with a Commander’s Coin and congratulations letter March 31, 2016 for earning the DLA Acquisition Professional Supporting Small Business award. Eisenberg was selected for the award for planning and awarding two contracts for the Navy Working Uniform to small businesses in fiscal 2015.

C&T contracting officer earns DLA recognition for small business awards

PHILADELPHIA — Awarding contracts to small businesses, resulting in best value support to customers, earned a DLA Troop Support contracting officer agency-wide recognition.

Procurement assistance centers help small-business owners, government buyers

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — The Procurement Technical Assistance Program, created in 1985 to increase the number of small businesses capable of participating in government contracts, is administered by the Defense Logistics Agency’s Office of Small Business Programs, with centers in Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam and all 50 states.
