Mentees celebrate completion of yearlong program

Richmond, Va. — Twenty-five Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employees gathered in the Community Recreation Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, June 18 to celebrate their completion of a yearlong mentoring program that began last May.

Fire Warden Appreciation Day

Richmond, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond’s Fire Prevention staff showed their appreciation during their quarterly training session June 13 with a luncheon and tour of the fire station to over 30 Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, employees who serve as fire wardens.

The three most common types of mishaps for DLA employees are all preventable. They include being caught in or between and struck by objects; slips, trips and falls; and overexertion.

Pilot internship program offers unique experience to high school students

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support and Philadelphia School District celebrated the completion of a pilot internship program giving high school students an opportunity to gain federal work experience before graduation.
