Congressman Jeff Denham visits San Joaquin distribution center

TRACY, California — On May 11, Congressman Jeff Denham, U.S. House of Representatives, California 10th District, paid a visit to DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California. During his short visit, he took the opportunity to meet with the senior leadership of Distribution, Installation Support and the local union.

Corpus’s Fernandez named Employee of the Quarter

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Emily Fernandez, a distribution process worker at DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, has been named DLA Distribution Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2016.

Since returning from her Defense Logistics Agency Support Team-Kuwait deployment in 2015, Amelia Stanko understands better how the strategic contracts she works on, as a contracting officer in the Supply Operations Commodities Directorate of DLA Aviation, impact the warfighter. Personal experience: Why DST is important, why I would do it again

Golfers build group spirit in annual tournament

More than 100 McNamara Headquarters Complex employees, guests and corporate sponsors took advantage of the sunny but breezy weather May 3, to participate in the HQC’s annual golf tournament at Woodlawn Golf Course, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Air Force Gen. Robin Rand (left), Commander, Air Force Global Strike Command, and the service component commander to U.S. Strategic Command, presided over the retirement of DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch at DLA Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, Virginia May 4. The two are fellow graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy Class of 1979. At the ceremony, Rand presented Busch with the Defense Distinguished Service Medal.
