San Diego mock audit yields promising results

SAN DIEGO, Pennsylvania — As practice for advanced stages of its current Independent Public Accountant audit, DLA Distribution San Diego, Calif., put itself to the test, conducting its own mock audit in late July to ensure its processes are repeatable and sustainable.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Mission and involvement were the most improved areas of the Defense Logistics Agency’s 2016 Culture Survey, DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch said during a town hall focusing on agency goals in areas such as people and culture at the McNamara Headquarters Complex July 27.

Corpus Christi’s Garza receives Global Distribution Excellence: Storage and Distribution Civilian of the Year award

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Enrique Garza, distribution process worker at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Storage and Distribution Civilian of the Year award for being a key member of the Preservation, Packaging, Packing, and Marking Team.

The depot as it looked from 1953 until the mid-1980’s. The row of four warehouses in the top right were known as the “Golden Mile” and built at the end of the Korean War.
