Distribution Sasebo sailors volunteer time to local orphanage

DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan at Sasebo sailors, Navy Logistics Specialist 1st Class Mark Alvaro, Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Enrito Jambalos and Logistics Specialist Seaman Recruit Jonathan Schroeder along with other USO Sasebo volunteers spent their Saturday morning handing out gifts and spending quality play time with Japanese children living at a local orphanage on July 14.

DLA Distribution Expeditionary team provides real world logistics support to Exercise Saber Strike and Operation Atlantic Resolve

After nearly two years of planning, DLA Distribution’s Deployment Expeditionary Team deployed to Powidz, Poland in support of Exercise Saber Strike 18 and Operation Atlantic Resolve. Saber Strike is the platform to validate U.S. forces collective capability to rapidly respond to and reinforce Allies in a time of crisis. Operation Atlantic Resolve is a real-world multinational training and security cooperation activity taking place in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.

Troop Support provides Easter, Passover support to service members across globe

DLA Troop Support provides annual religious support to service members across the globe for the Easter and Passover holidays. This year, Troop Support provided more than 170,000 pounds of food, 11,000 Meals, Ready-to-Eat and 115 orders of palm, wine, Jewish ceremonial Seder kits and ashes.
