Energy Americas at Houston banks on commercial practices

HOUSTON — Total conversion from JP8 military specification jet fuel to commercial jet fuel in the continental United States during 2014 drove the adoption of further commercial practices for some fuel terminals.

DLA Energy partners with DOE’s emergency petroleum stockpiles

HOUSTON — Deep underground storage caverns created in salt domes along the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico are home to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, federally-owned emergency oil stockpiles for U.S. obligations.

The first Task Force Americas poses for a picture during Hurricane Sandy relief operations in November 2012. The primary objective of the task force is to ensure the effective and efficient execution of the DLA Energy Federal Emergency Management Agency contingency contract.

DLA Energy Americas prepares for natural disasters

Houston — DLA Energy Americas employees frequently deal with hurricanes and tropical storms in their area of operation. With the Atlantic hurricane season beginning in June every year, it is their policy to fill DFSPs along the East Coast and Gulf Coast to the maximum extent possible.
