Sacrifices for freedom must never be forgotten. Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, employees gathered on the fourteenth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, in remembrance of those sacrifices, which came as a reminder that freedom is not free.

Defense Logistics Agency supports Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2015

Led by Defense Logistics Agency Pacific Korea, DLA Distribution and other DLA organizations in the pacific theater provided simulated sustainment and logistics services to United States and Republic of Korea forces within the Korean Theater of Operations in support of Ulchi Freedom Guardian from Aug. 17 to 29, 2015. UFG is a computer-based command post exercise that triggers ROK-US Forces to respond to destabilizing events and work through challenges in mission command in defense of the ROK.

Oklahoma deputy director receives Blacks in Government Award

Augustus Mays, DLA Distribution Oklahoma City, Okla., deputy director, was one of two DLA Distribution employees honored with the 2015 Blacks in Government Military Meritorious Service Award Aug. 25. The award honors military members and Department of Defense civilian employees who have supported the DoD mission and whose attributes best epitomize the qualities and core values of their respective military service or other DoD component.

Kareneshia Stubblefield, distribution process worker at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Transportation Management Civilian of the Year for her work in the distribution center’s Intermodal Hub.

Pearl Pearson, Jr., a packer assigned to the Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking Branch at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Oklahoma City, Okla., has been selected to receive the Outstanding DoD Employee with a Disability Award for 2015.
