Chaplain resources help military members practice their faith

Christopher Archer has served in many challenging assignments in various locations during his more than 20-year career as a chaplain, but he chose his current assignment at DLA in December 2020. DLA Troop Support enhances training through technology, innovation

PHILADELPHIA — Leaders from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Training Academy and DLA Information Operations, are delivering a more immersive educational experience to employees starting this week. Harnessing a combination of existing collaboration tools and a newly implemented open-source training software, instructors will provide “on-the-job,” on-demand training to meet the needs of geographically distributed employees in need of more localized training than other systems provide. “This will create a ‘ground level’ view of systems and tasks we do here at Troop Support,” Training Academy lead Joanne Anello said.

Bruce Gillingham during a visit Oct. 20 in Philadelphia. Both sides of the table provided feedback on current and future challenges, as well as how to best partner to overcome them.
