Senator Vulakovich visits midstate military installation

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Senator Randy Vulakovich, Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 38th legislative district, visited the midstate on September 18 to sit down with military and civilian leaders of DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

During a windshield tour of the installation, Williams stops to view DLA Distribution’s expeditionary capability, which deploys for contingency operations, humanitarian missions and other military exercises via movable structures and communications equipment operated by a team trained to perform storage and distribution in any environment.

DLA director visits DLA Distribution headquarters

DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell K. Williams visited DLA Distribution headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, July 7 for an orientation meeting with senior leaders and a tour of the DLA Distribution Susquehanna facility.

An EF3 tornado ravaged areas of Albany, Georgia, uprooting trees and destroying buildings along its 70-mile path. DLA Information Operations provided assistance to DLA Distribution employees in getting back up and operating.

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — Since May of 2014 the U. S. Army has called upon the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Expeditionary team to support the Army’s Brigade Combat Team drawdown and reorganization/inactivation and Forces Command Unit Equipment Reuse Work Group Expanded initiative.
