As the Defense Logistics Agency continues supporting COVID-19 efforts across the globe, DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Gavin Lawrence recognized employees maintaining the mission and meeting new requirements June 30 during a virtual performance review. “Our warfighters and other customers have continued to be recipients of your dynamic support and superior service,” Lawrence told employees who’ve spent the past four months teleworking.

DLA buys cloth face masks to protect DOD employees against coronavirus

The Defense Logistics Agency is proactively procuring cloth face masks to protect Defense Department employees against the coronavirus. The agency began working with American manufacturers to award contracts for reusable, non-surgical, cloth face masks in various styles soon after DOD released guidance requiring people to wear cloth masks on DOD property, installations and facilities in early April.
