Cherry Point’s Corrales recognized at annual DLA award ceremony

Navy Lt. Jill Corrales, retail manager at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Cherry Point, N.C., was awarded the DLA Company Grade Officer of the Year award at the 48th annual employee recognition ceremony Dec. 10, for working closely with the Fleet Readiness Center-East, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and other units onboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point to support the warfighter and ensure combat readiness.

United States Army Brig. Gen. Richard B. Dix addressed a crowd at the Culinary Institute of America’s Veterans Day celebration in Hyde Park, N.Y. In his opening remarks, Dix described to the audience of students, teachers, and family members, the importance of Veterans Day as a day set aside to thank and honor all those who served honorably in the military.
