Planning is key to reacting to workplace emergencies

Richmond, Virginia — September is National Preparedness Month and Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, Virginia’s Fire and Emergency Services personnel are getting the word out to employees to plan and prepare for disasters. Being prepared can prevent employees from incurring harm and assist in their ability to provide continued support for the mission and to the warfighter.

DSCR supports local community during annual Feds Feed Families food drive

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, collected and donated more than 199 pounds of food in support of this year’s annual Feds Feed Families food drive.

Emergency exercise keeps installation prepared, ready to support the warfighter during hurricanes, other disasters

RIchmond, Va. — A hurricane emergency tabletop exercise took place July 20 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Its purpose was to bring key installation personnel together.

Partners in Protection: Active Shooter Awareness and Response Training held on DSCR

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond’s Security and Emergency Services Office held Active Shooter Awareness and Response Training at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, June 23 in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center.

Installation Support enforces Real ID Act for Virginia license holders beginning July 10

Richmond, Virginia — Employees following the Real ID Act implementation for family members whose only ID is issued by Virginia need to know that the extension issued for Virginia by the Department of Homeland Security expired June 6. Virginia is one of several states currently non-compliant with the Act.
