MONTGOMERY, Alabama — In an effort to support humanitarian efforts in the wake of the overwhelming flooding in Louisiana, DLA Distribution’s Expeditionary team, Distributions 25th distribution center, has deployed to operate the Incident Support Base in support of FEMA Region IV Defense Support to Civil Authorities at Maxwell Air Force Base located in Montgomery, Ala.

Busch hosts FEMA deputy chief to kick off National Preparedness Month

To kick off National Preparedness Month, Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch hosted Joseph Nimmich, deputy administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, at a Sept. 1 event in the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

Americas at San Pedro personnel demonstrate resiliency

LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Arizona — Defense Logistics Agency Energy Americas at San Pedro, California, employees showed effective distribution management during a supply chain disruption and demonstrated resiliency in the Jet A aviation fuel supply chain at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.

DSCR employee wins gold in 2016 National Veterans’ Wheelchair Games

RICHMOND, VA — Kathy Tilbury brought home four gold medals after competing in the 2016 National Veterans’ Wheelchair Games June 26 – July 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She medaled in three swim events, the 100-meter backstroke, 100- and 200-meter freestyle, and Handle Ball bowling.

"Taking Safety to Victory Lane" at National Night Out

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On Aug. 2, employees, installation residents, and community gathered for Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna’s annual National Night Out. This year’s theme, “Taking Safety to Victory Lane,” was presented through family-oriented activities with the goal of promoting community involvement in preventing crime and drug use, strengthening police and community relations, and encouraging neighborhood camaraderie.
