Davis makes the grade, earns Hall of Fame induction

DLA R&D boosts performance, safety for batteries powering weapons systems

Recent work led by DLA’s Battery Network R&D program includes the development of a new lithium ion-based power system for the TOW 2 anti-tank missile and new lead-acid batteries used on armored vehicles, such as the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

Additive manufacturing, also called 3D printing, gives DLA new options for keeping certain parts available.
