Foreign travel requirements and tips

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Employees going on temporary duty to foreign countries must do more than just complete travel orders in the Defense Travel System. These tips include everything from SERE training to receiving a travel threat briefing.

Employees with any access to classified information or who occupy any sensitive position should be aware of new reporting requirements.

Employees, contractors must now report all foreign travel, other activities

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — A newly updated directive requires Executive Branch employees and contractors with access to any classified information or who hold sensitive positions to report more types of activities and foreign contact than before.

DLA employees should begin to fulfill their pre-trip requirements 45-60 days before departure.
