MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps Systems Command website — The Marine Corps is leading the way in employing advanced technologies and robotic construction. Earlier this month, the Additive Manufacturing Team at Marine Corps Systems Command teamed up with Marines from I Marine Expeditionary Force to operate the world's largest concrete 3D printer at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Champaign, Illinois.

POL fuel yard gets first major upgrade since 50s

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marines website — The 23d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) is currently overseeing the construction of the Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL) fuels bulk storage yard, which is slated for completion Jan. 2019.

From nothing to something – Cargo City takes shape

ABDULLAH AL-MUBARAK AIR BASE, Kuwait — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Air Forces Central Command website — Construction is nearly complete on ‘Cargo City,’ a new operating location for U.S. and coalition forces to conduct aerial port operations in Kuwait. This aerial port will continue to serve as a major-military logistics point, and also functions as the largest aerial port of debarkation in the Middle East.

Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, chain a container to a pallet during a 48-hour Mount-Out Exercise (MOX) in Okinawa, Japan June 19. The MOX simulates one of the core capabilities of a construction battalion to deploy an air detachment, along with construction equipment, within 48-hours to any required location around the globe. NMCB 5 is forward deployed to execute construction, humanitarian and foreign assistance, and theater security cooperation support of United States Pacific Command.
