Fueling the future: Innovative plans to improve Whiteman AFB

Prince Sultan AB boosts CENTCOM AOR refueling capabilities

PRINCE SULTAN AIR BASE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (AFNS) — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force website — Just 48 hours before the KC-135 from the 349th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron left Al Udeid Air Base to conduct refueling missions in the region, the 378th ELRS was given a task: To develop, build and sustain a rapid refueling capability at Prince Sultan Air Base. That’s exactly what they did.

USNS Supply Refuels Italian Ship in Mediterranean Sea

MEDITERRANEAN SEA — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa / U.S. 6th Fleet website — Military Sealift Command Supply-Class fast combat support ship USNS Supply (T-AOE 6) completed an exercise with Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Porter (DDG 80), USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), P-8A Poseidon from Patrol Squadron (VP) 4 and Italian Navy frigate ITS Federico Martinengo (F 596) in the Mediterranean Sea, April 23.

Refueling the Deployed Mission

AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing website — After nearly five hours of flying above Afghanistan, the call finally came. “Alright guys, the first receivers are about 10 mikes out. Let’s get ready to do this,” announced the KC-135 Stratotanker pilot to his team.

Forward Area Refueling Point team members held their biannual tryouts for 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron Airmen at their fuels compound January seventeenth, twenty twenty. Airmen of the eighteenth LRS petroleum, oil and lubricant flight bear the responsibility of refueling aircraft for hundreds of sorties at Kadena Air Base, and Forward Area Refueling Point assists with Air Force Special Operations refueling around the world.
