RICHMOND, Va. — Over the years, the Defense Logistics Agency Pathways to Career Excellence program, formerly known as DLA Corporate Intern Program, has been a catalyst for bringing in and training the next generation workforce that DLA will depend on to continue providing outstanding support to the nations warfighters.

Training Academy aims for equity, ‘well-rounded’ employees

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Training Academy, a pilot program for early career employees, kicked off with a virtual roll-out meeting with participants April 7. The goal is to provide an organizational standard of training for new employees, and complement existing training programs to result in more equitable learning opportunities for hands-on training.

Training the next generation of warfighter supporters goes virtual during pandemic

RICHMOND, VA — When Defense Logistics Agency Pathways to Career Excellence Class 39 kicked off March 16, 20-year Army veteran Daryl Johnson was among the 30 members embarking on the two-year journey. The DLA Pathways to Career Excellence Program trains entry-level employees for advancement in supply, technical quality, procurement and finance fields through on-the-job work assignments, cross-training, rotational assignments and formal instruction. Johnson and his classmates were still in-processing into DLA when the agency launched a maximum telework policy March 23 due to COVID-19.

DLA PaCEr halfway to fulfilling career milestone

RICHMOND, VA — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Public Affairs is running a series of stories profiling the DLA Pathways to Career Excellence (PaCE) Program and the experiences of those who are just beginning the program, those halfway through and those who have successfully graduated. Today, we spotlight Alyzza Mace, inventory management specialist, Material Planning Division, Planning Process Directorate. She has reached the midway point in the two-year program.
