DLA reserve leaders focus on meeting agency’s needs

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — More than 100 soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen and civilians from across the Defense Logistics Agency gathered for the DLA Joint Reserve Force’s annual Combined Drill Weekend June 27-28 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

Troop Support hosts ‘intersection’ of clothing and textiles industry, customers

Cherry Hill, New Jersey — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles hosted more than 260 vendors and 40 customers for the Joint Advanced Planning Brief for Industry in Cherry Hill, New Jersey June 16.

DLA Energy’s Pacific pivot begins in the Americas

SAN PEDRO, California — The Department of Defense is continuing to move forward with its strategy to reposition and rebalance its assets in the Pacific area of responsibility to better support the warfighter and preserve security. DLA Energy regional offices, including DLA Energy Americas, will serve as a jumping off point for the organization of that logistical undertaking.

San Joaquin achieves positive results during recent DoD IG Audit

SAN JOAQUIN, California — The DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., team is doing their part in helping DLA remain on track to comply with DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness, or FIAR, guidance. The team successfully completed their DoD Inspector General Audit, which focused on substantive testing on the Plan to Stock business cycle and San Joaquin’s inventory profile.

DLA Distribution commander mentors local middle school students through Junior Achievement Program of Central Pennsylvania

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Late last month, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix took time out of his busy schedule to volunteer with the Junior Achievement Program of Central Pennsylvania.

Army Reserve fuelers support DLA Energy during nationwide exercise

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — Army Reserve Soldiers from 18 states participated in the Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise June 7-20 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. About 1,100 Soldiers came from as far away as Michigan and Puerto Rico and as near as North Carolina to haul fuel for the Defense Logistics Agency.
