Distribution’s Rosenkranz honored as Carlisle Barracks NCO of the Year

On Dec. 1, DLA Distribution Army Staff Sgt. Matthew Rosenkranz was honored by Army Maj. Gen. John Kem, commanding general and 51st commandant, U.S. Army War College, as Carlisle Barracks’ Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, fiscal year 2017.

Installation Operations employee, food drive volunteer is DLA Troop Support's Employee of the Month

Leonard Shannon is the DLA Troop Support Employee of the Month for October. He had an integral part in collecting more than 3,000 pounds of food that was donated to Philabundance, the Philadelphia area's largest hunger relief organization.

Building bundles, checking them twice

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Yokota Air Base website — Once a year islanders throughout the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Federated States of Micronesia, and Republic of Palau will see bundles parachute out the back of multiple planes to provide them with essential supplies that are necessary for their daily lives. Airmen started building 10 practice bundles and 140 supply bundles for the 66th Operation Christmas Drop at Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, Dec. 7, 2017.

Three-Airman shop keeps fuel pumping

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Holloman Air Force Base website — Tucked away in a corner of Holloman AFB is a small shop that keeps trucks moving, aircraft flying and mission critical equipment running around base. The 49th Logistics Readiness Squadron refueling maintenance shop consists of three Airmen that are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the base’s 18 refueling vehicles.

DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan’s Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking team consists of packing experts who are trained to design and assemble special packages and crates for protecting high value and extremely unique requirements. These reimbursable services and support are provided in addition to the teams core function to pack material for shipment as part of our core business.

Hot water out in DFAS cafeteria

Naval Base Coronado’s, Naval Air Station North Island recently commemorated its 100th anniversary of service. There were over 99 events with multiple vendors and displays leading up to the final celebration of Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2017. DLA Distribution San Diego, California participated in the event as an opportunity to support higher headquarters.
