The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support continues working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture on the Summer Food Service Program. This year, a record $6.7 million is allocated for the program, up from $460,000 last year, and more states have joined than ever before.

For the first time in more than a year, community members could attend the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond Environmental Cleanup Program’s quarterly Restoration Advisory Board meeting in person at the Bensley Community Center in Chesterfield County, Virginia, July 12. These meetings were held virtually since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Land and Maritime Commander recognizes Ohio Army National Guard’s COVID-19 vaccination contributions

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry recognized 11 Ohio Army National Guard members for their support to the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ recently concluded vaccination effort during a June 29 appreciation event. The OHARNG also provided the medical facility and staff required to administer the vaccine. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and DLA partnered in the effort.

LGBTQ Pride Month concluded with Special Emphasis Program

The Defense Federal Community Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity hosted its annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Pride Month Special Emphasis Program on June 23. The program was live-streamed from the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Operations Center Auditorium for associates who were unable to attend.As noted by
