Defense Logistics Agency Aviation participated in a virtual seminar for the Organic Industrial Base class at National Defense University’s Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy on Feb. 4. This annual event brings together DLA leaders and students to connect what they learn with real-world impact.

Medical supply chain sweeps DLA Troop Support annual awards

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical team is walking a little taller after sweeping the organization’s three major annual award categories in recognition of their support to the nation in 2021. The awards recognized Thomas Heleniak, Medical Tailored Vendor Logistics Specialist, as Employee of the Year; the Operation Allies Welcome/Refuge group as Team of the Year; and Nora Steigerwalt, director of Customer Operations, as the Supervisor of the Year.

2022 Carter G. Woodson nominees announced

The Defense Supply Center Columbus named its 2022 Carter G. Woodson Award nominees this week. The annual award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the African American community in Central Ohio and the Defense Federal community. Past recipients include former Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty and Charles Tennant, the founder of Columbus’ Africentric School.
