Leadership changes hands at DLA Distribution Puget Sound, Washington

BREMERTON, Wa. — Navy Cmdr. Marcus M. Craig took command of Defense Logistics Agency Puget Sound, Washington, from outgoing Navy Cmdr. Timothy J. Calvo, during a change of command ceremony June 29. DLA Distribution Commander, Navy Rear Adm. Grafton D. Chase, officiated the ceremony.

405th AFSB’s CLSE helps deliver strategic level sustainment to V Corps, forces in Europe

POZNAN, Poland — With deployed forces in support of Europe during Russia’s unprovoked and unjust war in Ukraine, the 405th Army Field Support Brigade’s Corps Logistics Support Element is busy experimenting with new ways of delivering strategic level sustainment to America’s V Corps.

New deployable volunteer group to expand DLA’s readiness

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — A new volunteer opportunity is available for Defense Logistics Agency employees who think working in the field with warfighers sounds more exciting than a cubicle job with a predictable schedule. DLA is assembling a crew of 400 volunteers to deploy as situations arise around the world. Members will be ready to deploy at a moment’s notice to supplement DLA employees already on the ground.

Quality assurance team helps keep Army Prepositioned Stocks at high state of readiness

MANNHEIM, Germany — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 405th Army Field Support Brigade website — Working onsite with government contracted maintainers and logistics personnel, the quality assurance specialists from Army Field Support Battalion-Mannheim at the Coleman Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 worksite help to ensure the APS-2 equipment is received, stored, maintained, modernized and operationally configured within the contract scope to meet the requirements set forth by U.S. Army Sustainment Command and the Army.
