In 1984, David Ennis was voted one of 10 Outstanding DLA Personnel; in 2016 he is one of seven honorees to join the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Retired Navy Capt. Chris McKelvey, the commander of the Susquehanna installation during the Sept. 11, 2001 attack, Doug Schraeder, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna police chief, and Henry Hoffman Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna fire chief, dedicate a wreath in honor of the heroes who have perished protecting and serving the country.

Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna remembers 9/11 and POW/MIAs during ceremony

New Cumberland, PENNSYLVANIA — On September 9, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna employees gathered two days before the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks to remember and honor those who died on that day, and those men and women who selflessly responded with courage and compassion. The ceremony also remembered those American warriors who are listed as Prisoners of War or still Missing in Action.

Forums aim to improve employee readiness during emergencies

DSCR employee wins gold in 2016 National Veterans’ Wheelchair Games

RICHMOND, VA — Kathy Tilbury brought home four gold medals after competing in the 2016 National Veterans’ Wheelchair Games June 26 – July 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She medaled in three swim events, the 100-meter backstroke, 100- and 200-meter freestyle, and Handle Ball bowling.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Marco Walker, customer account specialist with the Customer Operations Directorate, DLA Aviation, Richmond, Virginia said the best part of working at DLA Aviation is being able to support the warfighter. As a former warfighter himself, he understands their urgency and is doing everything possible to help.

DLA Distribution initiates mapping operations at Fort Bragg

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — On August 16, DLA Distribution’s newest operation, DLA Distribution Mapping at Fort Bragg, delivered its first shipment, consisting of four topographic maps for mission planning, to local customers.

The DLA Aviation Customer Operations Directorate's weapons systems program managers, at Richmond, Virginia, strive to keep the H-53 type model series helicopter fleet maintained and up to 100 percent mission ready. The U.S. Navy's MH-53 Sea Dragon is shown performing mine countermeasures using the MK-105 tow sled during operations while demonstrating the U.S. Navy's ability to defend against mine-laying operations and ensure open access to sea lanes.

Aviation’s WSPM team keeps Navy’s MH-53 flying

RICHMOND, Virginia — The U. S. Navy’s MH-53E Sea Dragon became operational in 1986 and is the only heavy-lift helicopter in Naval Aviation. Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Navy Customer Facing Division in the Customer Operations Directorate in Richmond, Virginia, is part of the team helping keep the MH-53 helicopter mission ready.
