Allan Day, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation commander, hosted a change of command and retirement ceremony for outgoing DLA Aviation at Jacksonville Site Commander Navy Cmdr. Maurice Meagher, III and incoming Navy Cmdr. Daniel Bessman at Hangar 117 on Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, May 25.

Anniston, ALABAMA — Army Lt. Col. Michael L. Lindley assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Ala., in a ceremony June 1. The ceremony was officiated by DLA Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix.

DLA Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix met with approximately 300 Penn Manor High School students, during two assemblies, to discuss their futures on May 20.

Hattie Richardson has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for her achievements while serving as commander of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Ala. During her tenure, her leadership resulted in the organization performing well above the DLA standards in quality, performance, accountability, and safety.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation will soon begin using a new DLA Aviation Process Excellence methodology known as APEx. APEx tools, like the Leadership Model tool, enhance the way we manage, evaluate, refine, and communicate process design.

DLA Aviation helps keep the Thunderbolt II mission ready

RICHMOND, Va. — Trying to maintain an antique machine is a challenge for any collector or parts provider whether it’s a bicycle, a car, or a multiple-million-dollar weapon system flying critical missions keeping Americans safe at home and abroad.
