DLA Aviation awards May and June EOM recipients

RICHMOND, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation's May Employee of the Month is Keith McEachern, inter-continental ballistic missiles weapon system support manager for DLA Aviation’s Customer Operations Directorate in Richmond, Virginia, and the June EOM is Shante’l Wyche, an acquisition specialist in DLA Aviation’s Supplier Operations Commodities Directorate.

Aviation Leader Commentary: One team, one victory

Richmond, Va. — Why do we do what we do? Obviously supporting our families and preparing for our future and retirement are motivations for many of us. I have two daughters in college, so I know how important that paycheck is. But that is not why I work at the Defense Logistics Agency.

Former Tobyhanna commander promoted to brigadier general

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — Army Col. Michael Talley, former commander of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Tobyhanna, Pa., was promoted to the rank of brigadier general at a ceremony held at Marshall Hall, U.S. Army Forces Command in Fort Bragg, N.C., on Aug. 5.

David "D.J." Smith Sanchez makes sure he clears the bar while competing as a member of the Auburn University track team. He is competing as a member of the Puerto Rican National Olympic Team at this summer’s Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in honor of his maternal grandfather who born in Puerto Rico and passed away two years ago. "Taking Safety to Victory Lane" at National Night Out

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On Aug. 2, employees, installation residents, and community gathered for Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna’s annual National Night Out. This year’s theme, “Taking Safety to Victory Lane,” was presented through family-oriented activities with the goal of promoting community involvement in preventing crime and drug use, strengthening police and community relations, and encouraging neighborhood camaraderie.
