Guam builds resiliency through new resume writing skills

MARIANAS, Guam — Members of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Guam, Marianas, Continuing Government Activity recently attended a job resume skills class that was offered by Navy Base Guam’s Fleet and Family Service.

Commander holds Town Hall in Richmond

Distribution’s Ballesteros one of DLA’s first recognized by Navy advancement program

YOKOSUKA, Japan — On July 1, Christopher Ballesteros officially became one of DLA’s first Sailors recognized by the Navy’s Meritorious Advancement Program, or MAP.

Following a July 15, 2016 video telecast ceremony, Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, installation officials display awards received as a winner of the 2015 Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence.

DSCR receives 2016 CINC Award

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, received the 2015 Commander in Chief’s Annual Award for Installation Excellence in a ceremony July 15, conduct by video telecast to Richmond from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.

The depot as it looked from 1953 until the mid-1980’s. The row of four warehouses in the top right were known as the “Golden Mile” and built at the end of the Korean War.

Distribution’s aide-de-camp receives Defense Meritorious Service Medal

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Army Capt. Michael Thomas, aide-de-camp to the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander, was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his skillful planning and management of the General’s day-to-day mission requirements.

Students learn about DLA careers

RICHMOND, Virginia — On July 14, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation hosted 40 rising junior and senior students from the Hanover Regional Governor’s School for Career and Technical Advancement three-week summer program. The students came to Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, to learn about the various career fields that encompass the DLA Aviation and DLA Installation Support at Richmond workforce.

Former San Joaquin deputy to be inducted into DLA Hall of Fame

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — David C. Ennis, former deputy commander at DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., will be one of the newest inductees to the DLA Hall of Fame in honor of his 39 years of exceptional service.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Monica Warren is the executive assistant to the DLA Aviation Deputy Commander Charlie Lilli. She has been with DLA Aviation in Richmond, Virginia, for three months.
