Navy Supply Corps Cmdr. Erik R. Naley, assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Bahrain, Southwest Asia, in a ceremony May 26. The ceremony was officiated by Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Bahrain commander, Navy Supply Corps Capt. Sean M. Egge.

“Great ShakeOut” at DLA Distribution Hill reinforces emergency preparedness

In late April, the Utah Division of Emergency Management conducted the Great Utah ShakeOut, an emergency drill to exercise the potential of a 7.5-magnitued earthquake anticipated for the Wasatch Front. In connection with the Great Utah ShakeOut, Hill Air Force Base and Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Hill conducted an “exercise week,” with drills practicing an increase to the Force Protection Conditions, shelter-in-place, active shooter scenarios, and additional natural and man-made disaster scenarios facing those who live and work within the area.

Completing a 1-year tour as Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna installation senior enlisted advisor, Army 1st Sgt. Michael S. Warren, handed over the organization’s colors on May 13 and received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his service from April 2015 to May 2016.

The Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Police Force hosted a wreath laying ceremony to pay tribute to local, state, and Federal peace officers who have died in the line of duty on May 18, in the base chapel. Each year, our nation loses between 140-160 law enforcement officers in the line of duty.
