DLA Energy Hall of Fame welcomes former acquisition workforce development chief

For her nearly 40 years of selfless service, people skills and trailblazing legacy, former chief of the Acquisition Workforce Development and Intern Center, Kathleen “Kate” Straub-Jones was inducted into the DLA Energy Hall of Fame on the McNamara Headquarters Complex on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Oct. 31.

DLA Energy Task Force Americas closes out Hurricane Ian support

After nearly a month of emergency fuel support, DLA Energy Task Force Americas closed out Hurricane Ian assistance to FEMA Oct. 19. TFA personnel Chris Rogers, Air Force Maj. Timothy Truong, and Ray Juré helped coordinate fuel shipments from supply points in Virginia and Alabama to affected areas in central Florida.

Rocket lifts with DLA Energy Aerospace propellants

Three booster tanks filled with cryogenic liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellants supplied by DLA Energy Aerospace successfully launched a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Sept. 24.

More than $48 million will be added to the DOD Working Capital Fund after a DLA Finance Energy team settled several fuel direct bill and FEA invoices with international partners at the DLA Energy Fuels Exchange Agreements Forum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Sept. 20-22.

DLA Energy Task Force Americas supports Hurricane Ian relief efforts

In preparation for Hurricane Ian, DLA Task Force Americas advance team arrived in Warner Robbins Air Force Base, Georgia, to execute its Defense Support to Civil Authorities operations and assist Federal Emergency Management Agency fuel requirements on Sept. 26.
