Energy Convergence program concludes, legacy system decommissioned

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Energy’s Energy Convergence transition to the Enterprise Business System has concluded, reducing the number of systems needed to process transactions and decreasing costs for the organization by millions of dollars.

Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and DLA Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, are the newest customers to the Direct Supply Natural Gas Program, represented by this natural gas pressure meter at another location.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Energy Installation Energy’s newest customers, Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and DLA Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, have Direct Supply Natural Gas Program contracts beginning Oct. 1.

Subsistence employees see field feeding outside their office

PHILADELPHIA — Subsistence employees toured a field kitchen that Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers set up while staged at the NSA Philadelphia compound in support of the Papal visit.

IH employees get the bigger picture during DLA Distribution visit

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Seeing the process of how repair parts go from contract award to the hands of the warfighter was the goal of a visit Sept. 15 to a DLA Distribution warehouse.

As part of National Preparedness Month, DLA Energy participated in a Federal Emergency Management Agency drill this month in Salt Lake City, Utah, demonstrating their ability to support delivery of ground fuel products via retail tank wagon to a local vendor tank truck.

National Preparedness Month: DLA Energy participates in FEMA readiness drills

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — September is National Preparedness Month, designed to raise awareness of being prepared for disasters. DLA Energy is doing just that as personnel participated in two FEMA drills this month, demonstrating their ability to support delivery of fuels.

CENTCOM senior leader visits DLA Energy Middle East

BAHRAIN — The U.S. Central Command Deployment and Distribution Operations Center director visited Defense Logistics Agency Energy Middle East facilities at Naval Support Activity Bahrain Sept. 17.

Navy Capt. Christopher Mosher, DLA Troop Support Subsistence director, presents John Bulovas, a former World War II POW, with a token of appreciation for sharing his experience during the Philadelphia Compound Veterans Committee’s annual POW/MIA Remembrance ceremony Sept. 15 in Philadelphia. Bulovas was captured in 1943 by German forces and was liberated in 1945.

Former POW shares story of capture, liberation during remembrance ceremony

PHILADELPHIA — Employees at NSA Philadelphia experienced living history as the story of a former World War II prisoner of war was told during a POW/MIA remembrance ceremony Sept. 15.
