Fort Belvoir, VA — Natural disasters, outbreaks of disease and large human migrations are all supported by DLA through teams of volunteers who stand ready to deploy around the world.

An EF3 tornado ravaged areas of Albany, Georgia, uprooting trees and destroying buildings along its 70-mile path. DLA Information Operations provided assistance to DLA Distribution employees in getting back up and operating.

His main purpose for the site visit was to review DLA Distribution’s contract oversight program, meet with the acquisition workforce, and have a tour of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania’s Eastern Distribution Center.
