Air Force officer shares her story during local Women in Industry Day event

PHILADELPHIA — Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Susan McMullen, DLA Troop Support Project Manager, and other women from various industries across Northeast Philadelphia gathered in an auditorium at Holy Family University to share their stories during the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce annual Women in Industry Day event Nov. 20, 2019 in Philadelphia.

Troop Support improves international relief readiness through USAID course

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted the Joint Humanitarian Operations Course led by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance in Philadelphia Nov. 13-14.

DLA Troop Support Chili Chefs Battle It Out For Bragging Rights

Philadelphia — During an annual chili cook-off, held Nov. 20, 2019, 12 members of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support workforce battled it out for the bragging rights to the best chili. The event was organized as an awareness event for the Combined Federal Campaign.

Government testing facility celebrates 100 years in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Product Test Center Analytical’s mission began in 1919 at the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot in an effort to instruct military personnel on the scientific approach to textile procurement for uniforms. One hundred years later, the mission continues on, ensuring the products purchased for warfighters and other government customers meet the quality specifications to survive the varied conditions required.

Army Staff Sgt. Marvin Tyler Nelson and Sgt. 1st Class Eugenio Moya, U.S. Army North, pack computers for transport to Wilkinson County High School in Woodville, Mississippi. The computers are being donated to the school through the Department of Defense’s Computers for Learning program.

Its final destination was Wilkinson County High School in Woodville, Mississippi, thanks to the Department of Defense’s Computers for Learning program.

PHILADELPHIA — Strong partnerships was the central theme of a Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles military service and industry engagement event Nov. 6-7 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. More than 800 representatives from DLA, the military services and American clothing and textiles industry attended the fifth annual Joint Advanced Planning Brief for Industry.

Military working dogs have food options thanks to Subsistence efforts

PHILADELPHIA — Ensuring warfighters across the world have nutritious meals each day is the primary role of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain. That role was expanded to include more variety for man’s best friend after recent updates to the military working dog catalogs that provide 27 new options starting in 2020.
