Joint Food Management Analytics (JFMA) is a core tenant in the Troop Support Subsistence strategy for developing, deploying and maintaining a data-driven capability to improve supply chain operations for Subsistence, the military uniformed service members, and other key stakeholders as required by DoD Directive 5101.10.

DLA Troop Support launches food management system

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has officially launched Joint Food Management Analytics, a new digital platform to secure, monitor and manage the Subsistence supply chain.

PHILADELPHIA — During the Troop Support Academy held May 19-21, nearly 100 newer employees from around the world stepped away from their desks to bridge the gap between their office tasks and the front lines. The three-day event provided a comprehensive overview of the agency’s four main supply chains and staff offices, highlighted by an immersive field trip to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, where participants saw real-world examples of how the equipment, medical supplies and food they procure directly sustain active-duty service members.

Army Materiel Command deputy commander returns to DLA Troop Support, highlights supply chain modernization

PHILADELPHIA — Army Materiel Command Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Gavin Lawrence returned to his former command to serve as the keynote speaker for the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Academy and receive a comprehensive operational briefing from current DLA Troop Support Commander Brig. Gen. Sean Kelly.

The new U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command patch approved by The Institute of Heraldry effective Nov. 20, 2025, is displayed at the USAWHC activation and Transition of Command ceremony at Fort Bragg, N.C., Dec. 5, 2025. The emblem features an eagle’s head above a globe representing North and South America, symbolizing the command’s area of responsibility, strategic readiness and modernization initiatives, with four stars denoting four-star leadership. The U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command serves as the Theater Army for both U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Southern Command. This newly activated command unifies U.S. Army Forces Command, U.S. Army North, and U.S. Army South as the Army Service Component Command for the Western Hemisphere. PHILADELPHIA — The territorial integrity of the United States rests on a basis of homeland defense. It’s the founding mission of the Department of War and is fortified by the logistical engine of Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support. Today, this commitment is demonstrated across the Western Hemisphere Command, the Theatre Army for U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Southern Command. With thousands of service members now focused on regional defense, this sweeping initiative projects absolute American strength and deters malign actors through an overwhelming physical presence. By aggressively targeting illicit activities, warfighters, federal law enforcement and DLA Troop Support logisticians are sending an undeniable, unified message: the Western Hemisphere is America’s neighborhood, and it will never be a permissive environment for transnational threats.
