  • Relationship to Implementation Conventions (ICs): This Data Dictionary is a reference tool that enhances and supports the DLMS Implementation Conventions (ICs); it does not replace them. For proper implementation, users must consult the detailed guidance and business rules contained within the applicable IC.
  • Governing Standards: All data elements are governed by the Accredited Standards Committee X12 (ASC X12) and the policies within DLM 4000.25, Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS). The ASC X12 is the governing source for X12, which is an electronic data interchange (EDI) standard.

  947I N106 TO Message To Use in conjunction with the appropriate 1/N101/10 code to indicate the organization cited in N104 is receiving the transaction set.
  947I N901 BT Batch Number Use to identify the manufacturer’s batch/lot, or other number identifying the production run when UI and or serial number are not required. If UI and/or serial number are required in addition to the batch/lot number, enter the batch/lot number, enter the batch/lot number in N907. The batch/lot number may not exceed 20 characters in accordance with IUID policy.
  947I N901 MF Manufacturers Part Number Use in CAV, Inventory Adjustment (Condition Code) Transactions to identify part numbers required to complete the repair/overhaul action.
  947I N901 SE Serial Number Use to identify the serial number when UI is not required. If UI is required in addition to the serial number, enter the serial number in N907. The serial number may not exceed 30 characters and may only include alpha numeric characters, dashes and forward slashes. Spaces are not allowed.
  947I N901 U3 Unique Supplier Identification Number (USIN) Use to identify the UI. The UI may not exceed 50 characters in accordance with IUID Policy. An ANSI data maintenance was approved in version 5020. The approved code/name is “UI-Department of Defense Unique Item Identifier”.
  947I N907-01 0N Attached To Authorized DLMS enhancement for Inter-Service Ammunition use. Use when N901=BT to identify the Lot Size for the lot number identified in N902. DLMS Component unique enhancement (DIC BG1/BG2, rp 25-29). See introductory DLMS note 4f. Refer to ADC 261 and ADC 45.
  947I N907-01 BT Batch Number Use to identify the manufacturer’s batch/lot, or other number identifying the production run when UI or serial number is entered in N901 and batch/lot is the only other identifying number in 2/N901/160. The batch/lot number may not exceed 20 characters in accordance with IUID policy.
  947I N907-01 SE Serial Number Use to identify the serial number when UI is entered in N901. The serial number may not exceed 30 characters and may only include alpha numeric characters, dashes and forward slashes. Spaces are not allowed.
  947I N907-01 W7 Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code For CAV use with N901 Code MF to uniquely identify a manufacturer's part number.
  947I G6201 36 Expiration Date Authorized DLMS enhancement for Inter-Service Ammunition use to identify the expiration date of the reported item. DLMS Component unique enhancement (DIC BG1/BG2, rp 9-1). See introductory DLMS note 4f. Refer to ADC 261 and ADC 45.
  947I G6201 BK Warranty Expiration 1. Use to identify the Warranty expiration date associated with the materiel reported. 2. DLMS enhancement; see introductory DLMS note 4a.
  947I G6201 BX Action Use to identify the maintenance due date (the date that maintenance is due on the item). Authorized DLMS enhancement for Inter-Service Ammunition use. DLMS Component unique enhancement (DIC BG1/BG2, rp 9-1). See introductory DLMS note 4f. Refer to ADC 261 and ADC 45.
