DLA participates in U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka Safety Fair

CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea — Members from Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific and DLA Distribution Yokosuka participated in the U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka Safety Fair Nov. 15 at Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. The public event was sponsored by various commands and the local Japanese police department.

Chaplain resources help military members practice their faith

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Army Col. Christopher Archer has served in many challenging assignments in various locations during his more than 20-year career as a chaplain, but he chose his current assignment at DLA in December 2020. Working with his Religious Affairs NCO and DLA Troop Support counterparts, he ensures customers get the religious supplies they need in a timely manner.

A fuel handler’s storied 42-year career

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Chuck Allyson’s storied career in fuel has carried him from Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; through Fort Lee and Fort Belvoir in Virginia; to Germany, South Korea, and Alaska. His final duty assignment landed him traveling throughout the northeast region of New England. After 21 years in the Army and another 21 years working as a civilian DLA fuel quality assurance representative, it’s time to move on.

Oklahoma City commander thanks employees for their years of service

Oklahoma City — Air Force Col. Jason Kalin took command of DLA Aviation at Oklahoma City in August and said he was excited to be a part of the team noting their strong work ethic and dedication. From September to October, Kalin reached to out to 61 employees to recognize their length of service and outstanding performance.
