Practice makes perfect: DLA personnel conduct emergency training exercise on DSCR

From animals to equipment, DLA Disposition Services has processed it all

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Since its inception, Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services  has received and processed millions of individual items of Department of Defense personal property. Most of these items are within the norms of end-of-lifecycle logistics, however, some examples of property turned-in stand out among the rest and serve to highlight the unique capabilities of disposal logisticians.

DLA Energy receive quarterly command update

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — From across the globe, more than 615 DLA Energy employees participated in a virtual All Hands held from the Fort Belvoir McNamara Headquarters Complex auditorium Nov. 2. The workforce was updated on the DLA Energy 2021 Culture Action Plan, recent employee awards and recognition, and the COVID-19 vaccination documentation system.

WWII veteran’s grave rediscovered thanks to DLA Land and Maritime associate’s efforts

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime employee is generating a lot of buzz around the world this week. Army veteran and DLA Land and Maritime Customer Account Specialist Nathan Reynolds is being lauded across the globe for his instrumental efforts to rediscover the gravesite of World War II veteran Arthur Lewis and ensure the delivery of a proper gravestone marking his service.

As military COVID-19 vaccine mandate looms, DLA Distribution ships vaccines to overseas troops

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — To protect the force and defend the American people, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III issued a memorandum directing full COVID-19 vaccinations for all U.S. Armed Forces Aug. 23. Since this mandate, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution has been working tirelessly to ship vaccines for unvaccinated deployed troops.
