DLA Energy signs agreement with historically black college

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — A first-of-its-kind memorandum of understanding with a historically black college and university was signed virtually between DLA Energy and Benedict College at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Nov. 15.

Defense Secretary announces DLA Distribution commander promotion

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III announced Dec. 2 that the President has nominated Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commanding general, for the appointment to the two-star rank of major general.

Federal Center employees deliver Christmas at Salvation Army

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — At the end of each year Defense Logistics Agency employees at the Hart Dole Inouye Federal Center in Battle Creek, Michigan, work together to make the holidays a little brighter for families in need. Working with the local Salvation Army, DLA Installation Support’s Battle Creek Morale, Welfare and Recreation staff coordinate the Federal Center’s Adopt-A-Family Program. The program includes veterans that are patents at the local Veteran Affairs hospital and other families in the community.

DLA Aviation employees do big things in September

RICHMOND, Va — Dylan Brock, a customer support specialist with Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden on Hill Air Force Base, Utah and John Villanueva, a logistics management specialist with DLA Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, were selected as Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Employees of the Month for September. Villanueva won in the general schedule (GS) 10-13 category. Brock took the award in the GS 1-9 category.

DLA participates in U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka Safety Fair

CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea — Members from Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific and DLA Distribution Yokosuka participated in the U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka Safety Fair Nov. 15 at Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. The public event was sponsored by various commands and the local Japanese police department.
